Karen S. Vance is an experienced higher education leader, consultant, and adjunct faculty member with a career spanning institutional research, assessment, and strategic planning. As Associate Vice Provost for Planning, Assessment, and Institutional Research at Penn State, she led cross-functional efforts to align data-driven decision-making with institutional priorities and initiatives in support of student and institutional success.
In addition to administrative leadership, Dr. Vance teaches as an adjunct faculty member, bringing expertise in institutional research, planning, and assessment to the classroom. Her teaching emphasizes both academic rigor and practical application, preparing graduate students to think critically and apply knowledge in professional contexts.
